Crafting Cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel
There are only two ways of getting new cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel: Crafting and pulling. Crafting cards requires Crafting Points, which you get from dismantling the cards you no longer want. The points can then be used to create brand new cards of the same rarity.
Pulling is when you open a card pack full of random cards, which is the best way to get extra cards for dismantling.
To craft cards, start by creating a new deck to access the deck menu. On the right-hand side of the screen, you will see a list of cards. Some of these cards will be highlighted, but most of them will be greyed out; These are cards you don’t own yet.

Crafting Points are separated by rarity, going from Normal, Rare, Super Rare, and Ultra Rare in quality. To craft any card, you need just 30 Crafting Points of that card’s rarity. Cards give 10 Crafting Points of their rarity when dismantled, with some even giving 15, which means that it takes dismantling about three cards of the same rarity to craft a new card.
For example, dismantling three Ultra Rare Dark Magician cards gives you enough Ultra Rare crafting points to create one Slifer, the Sky Dragon. Occasionally, crafting a Super Rare or Ultra Rare card will unlock a new Secret Pack to pull from.
You can’t dismantle cards that come from Structure Decks, as this will leave the decks unplayable.
Occasionally, crafting a card will grant you a foil version of that card, which has a glossy rainbow sheen to it and sits separately from your other copies of that card. Dismantling a foil version of a card doesn’t increase your chances of crafting a new foil, so be careful when dismantling rare shinies you might want to keep for your collection.
Crafting Points can also be acquired by completing missions and earning levels in the Duel Pass. Missions are free to all users, while the Duel Pass is the game’s version of a battle pass. The Duel Pass costs 600 gems, which can be easily acquired through missions and awards the full price back upon completion. Both missions and the Duel Pass award gems and other rewards for completing, so they’re a good way to earn card packs in addition to Crafting Points.
Due to it’s expensive nature, crafting cards is best left for when you only need a few more cards in your deck. Pulling from themed Secret Packs is a great way to earn cards to boost your decks, and when you just need the right card to finish a deck you can dip into the reserve of Crafting Points you’ve built by playing the game.
