A Universal Time (AUT) Kars Ability Guide
There are two ways to obtain the Kars ability in AUT. However, you must first have the Vampire Ability; otherwise, obtaining Kars will be forever out of reach.
- The first is killing the new Kars boss in AUT, but it’s not that simple. You must defeat Kars with a Hamon ability, as it’s needed to get a special item dropped.
- The second way is by crafting it with Kars Shards at the Crafting NPC.
Killing Kars
First, you must defeat Kars, so head to the Former Minos Prime arena, where he spawns every 30 minutes. Kars is a level 250 enemy with 25,000 HP. Kars has a 10% chance to drop the True Stone Mask, but only if you defeat him using a Hamon ability. However, if you’re playing with a group or other players are present, only the player who deals the most damage to Kars will have the chance to get this drop.
Once you obtain the True Stone Mask, use it while having the Vampire ability equipped to evolve into Kars.
Kars is a very tough boss, especially because he is Vampiric. He can restore some of his HP while dealing damage to you. To defeat him, one method is to use a very powerful non-Hamon ability to get his health down to very low. Then, get out of his range, equip a Hamon ability, and deal the final blow. Remember, the True Stone Mask is a 10% drop, so it’s pretty rare.
Crafting Kars Ability
If you don’t want to go through the effort or grind of repeatedly defeating Kars, you can instead craft the True Stone Mask. To craft the True Stone Mask, you feel the following items:
- 5x Kars Shards
- x1 Stone Mask (Vampire Mask)
- x1 Aja Stone
To acquire 5x Kars Shards, pull from the Kars the Pillarman banner. As Kars Shards are Legendary, there is a 1.57% chance to obtain 1-3 shards.
You can come across the Stone/Vampire Mask naturally or obtain it from Loot Crates. Similarly, the Aja Stone can be found naturally or acquired from Loot Crates.
After acquiring the True Stone Mask, use it while equipped with the Vampire ability to evolve into Kars.
