Spike Chunsoft and Too Kyo Games will release Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE to consoles outside of Nintendo. The new upgraded version will be called Rain Code+. It will launch on July 18th, 2024, and will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam). The announcement promises additional content compared to the original game.

The success of the original Switch release has led to the development of an expanded version called Rain Code+. Details about the additional elements are not available yet, but the game will likely feature improved visuals and performance on more powerful platforms. There is also anticipation for additional scenarios, expanded storylines, or potentially entirely new cases.

Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE was released for the Nintendo Switch on June 30th, 2023. The game follows the story of Yuma, a trainee detective who suffers from amnesia and is accompanied by the spirit Shinigami. Players will explore a rainy city controlled by a powerful megacorporation, solving unsolved mysteries as part of a detective agency. Yuma’s special abilities will help players collect clues and evidence in a fully 3D environment.

A key feature of the game is the Mystery Labyrinth, an exclusive realm filled with puzzles and traps as the investigation progresses. Players need to safely navigate the hazards and distortions of the Mystery Labyrinth to reveal the truth behind each case.

Apparently, more information is coming on May 9th. So, in a few more days, we’ll get a clearer picture of the enhancements.
