Mighty Miner buffed and Earthquake nerfed in recent Clash Royale update

Mighty Miner has become more mighty and Earthquake has become less quakey in a recent Clash Royale update!
Featured Clash Royale Miner Update

It looks like Clash Royale wasn’t happy with a couple of cards leading into the new Mighty Mine season of the game. The Mighty Miner hero card was added recently, and clearly wasn’t performing as well as the team of developers had in mind. They’ve gone ahead and tweaked it a bit, which will hopefully have the new miner wreaking a bit more havoc in the game.

Perhaps the bigger change is the nerf to Earthquake. EQ cycle had become a popular list, and the card was one of the main counters to the recently buffed Elixir Collector. The downgrade to Earthquake only brings down the damage against towers, but if players start removing it from their decks, you will only start to see more Pump based decks increase in popularity.

Here’s a look at the changes:

  • Mighty Miner – Explosive Escape ability cost: 2 -> 1 & Immune to knockback
  • Earthquake – Crown Tower Damage: -23%

Having the ability of Mighty Miner reduced is a significant buff, and will give players a lot more reason to use it during a game. It is also now immune to knockback, which should give this big tank more staying power.

While Earthquake isn’t as useful for tearing down towers, it still remains a solid card for busting defensive buildings, which is mainly what it was supposed to be used for.
