Meeting the Level Requirement in Fisch
First things first, there’s a level gate. You absolutely must be at least Level 250 to even attempt reaching the Second Sea. If you’re not there yet, focus on grinding those levels by fishing and completing tasks. Once you hit 250, you’re ready for the real adventure!
Finding the Sea Traveler in Fisch
Your next step is to locate a specific NPC:
- Head to Terrapin Island: Get in your boat and make your way to Terrapin Island.
- Find the Sea Traveler NPC: Look for an NPC named Sea Traveler. You can find him standing near a cave entrance. His coordinates are roughly (X: 144.3, Y: 150, Z: 2035). He’s pretty easy to spot – he wears a distinctive green Cthulhu uniform.
- Pro tip: This cave is the same spot where the Roblox Hunt event took place, if you remember that!

Entering the Cthulu Cave in Fisch
Once you find the Sea Traveler, talk to him. He’ll task you with entering the nearby cave and defeating the Cthulu boss lurking within.
- Go through the tunnel entrance near the Sea Traveler. This will teleport you inside.
- Walk all the way to the end of the inner cave area. Here you’ll find the trigger to start the matchmaking queue for the boss fight. You can fight solo or with others.
The Keeper’s Torch Weapon in Fisch
A cutscene will play out, but afterward, before the battle actually begins, don’t forget to pick up the Keeper’s Torch!
- You’ll find it on the ground right near where you spawn for the boss fight.
- This torch isn’t just for light; it’s your primary weapon against the Cthulu boss. You’ll be throwing projectiles from it.

Defeating the Cthulu Boss in Fisch
Alright, time for the main event! Beating Cthulu isn’t super hard, but it requires understanding a specific mechanic and dodging his attacks.
- The Core Mechanic: Color Matching: Look closely at Cthulu’s health bar. You’ll see different colored layers underneath it, starting from Red on the right and going through Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and finally Purple on the left.
- To actually damage more damage to the boss, the flame color of your Keeper’s Torch MUST match the current color layer of the boss’s health bar.
- However, you can keep the same color flame but the boss will take twice as long to die.
- To actually damage more damage to the boss, the flame color of your Keeper’s Torch MUST match the current color layer of the boss’s health bar.
- Changing Torch Colors: How do you change colors? Use the lanterns/shrines located around the edges of the battle arena.
- Starting Color (Red): From where you spawn, head to your left. You’ll find a red shrine at the end of a little stone pathway/obby. Interact with it using your torch to make the flame red.
- Following the Colors: Attack Cthulu with the red flame until his health bar depletes past the red layer into the orange layer. Then, you need to find the orange shrine.
- Shrine Locations: The shrines are conveniently placed in clockwise order around the arena, starting with red on the left. So, after red, find orange, then yellow, green, blue, and finally purple. Keep moving around the arena, changing your torch color at the corresponding shrine as you deplete each health bar layer.
- Keep Attacking: Once your torch color matches the current health layer, keep shooting projectiles at Cthulu while dodging his attacks.
Understanding Cthulu’s Attacks in Fisch
Cthulu has a few main ways to attack you:
- Spikes: Watch the ground! A red indicator will appear, showing where spikes are about to shoot up. Just move out of the red zone to avoid taking damage.
- Fiery Orbs: He’ll launch fiery orbs directly at you. You can dodge these by quickly moving to the side or by taking cover behind one of the solid structures in the arena.
- Phase Two (Half Health): Once you get Cthulu down to about half health, his chains will break! He’ll start actively throwing things at you with his hands, making the fight a bit more intense. Keep dodging!
Reaching the Cursed Sea in Fisch
Keep matching your torch color, keep attacking, and keep dodging! It might take a little while (around 10 minutes if you’re solo), but eventually, you’ll defeat the Cthulu boss.
Once Cthulu is down, a cutscene will play, showing the Sea Traveler following the defeated boss. After a brief black screen, you’ll find yourself transported to the brand new world – the Cursed Sea (Second Sea)! Welcome to a whole new ocean of possibilities!
