Featured Elden Ring Disable Messages

Elden Ring is FromSoftware’s latest game to grace virtual shelves worldwide, and nearly a million players have logged on to see what The Lands Between has in store. Players from across the world are playing together either directly through summoning or indirectly through echo-like spirits and messages written on the ground.

While these messages can be comical or even helpful at times, the sheer abundance of them across the world may leave some players annoyed. In this guide, we’ll help you disable the multiplayer messages and bloodstains that show up in Elden Ring.

How to Disable Messages and Bloodstains in Elden Ring

First, you should know that there is no way to disable messages while still playing with anyone else or interacting with other multiplayer features. If you’re playing on PC, you’ll need to close the game, restart Steam in Offline Mode, and then launch the game from there. If you’re playing on a console, consider disconnecting from the internet and then re-launching the game.

Right now, there is an abundance of messages being left due to the game’s release and the general excitement of players. It also helps the feature’s popularity with the level of memes being shared on social media. Players are sharing their funniest message finds on Twitter, prompting other users to go into the world and leave a comical message of their own.

As of now, there isn’t an ability to disable the messages or bloodstains by themselves. Although it is a frequently requested feature, FromSoftware has already made it clear that it wants to improve the game however it can. Many players would likely benefit from the ability to limit or not show messages, as it would help players feel more immersed in The Lands Between.

If you play offline, you will no longer see the spirits of others traveling or fighting across the land. You’ll also lose the ability to call for help or challenge other players to a duel. By turning off the online feature, users will be cutting themselves off from a few significant elements in the game. However, this is a small price to pay for players who find the messages too annoying to leave them on.

That’s all you need to know about how to disable messages in Elden Ring. If you play offline, you won’t have to worry about any bloodstains or messages disrupting your adventure.

  1. Detonate

I get massive stutter, every time a a spirit loads next to me, and most of the messages are just very bad attempts at humor. Why this isn’t a toggle-able feature is beyond me.
