Type Soul Skill Boxes Guide – How to Get and Use

Skill boxes grant access to powerful skills that might not be available otherwise in Type Soul. These skills are chosen randomly, but they will always come from a pool specific to your character type.

How to Get Skill Boxes

The main way to get skill boxes is by participating in raids. Specifically, you can earn them as rewards in Faction Raids and Karakura Raids. However, the chance of receiving a skill box from these raids is very low, so be prepared to participate in many raids before you get one. Skill box rates are doubled during Weekends (UTC time), so then is the perfect time to try to get one or a few if you’re lucky.

Using Skill Boxes

To use a Skill box equip it on a hotbar slot for easy access. When you activate a slot, your character will hold the box out. Pressing the use slot will open the box and add the skill to your skill tree, typically at the bottom. There won’t be a message to confirm this, so be sure to check your skill tree afterward to see if the skill has been added.

Opening it will grant you a random skill. This skill will usually be related to the skill tree you have invested at least 25 points in. There’s no way to choose the specific skill you get, so it might take some time to get the exact one you want.

Limitations of Skill Boxes

There are a couple of limitations to keep in mind with Skill Boxes. First, you can only have a maximum of two legendary rarity skill boxes at a time. Second, you can only learn a maximum of two skills acquired from skill boxes at once. If you want to learn different skills from boxes, you can use a blue pill to reset your skills and try again, but this will also erase any other learned skills.
