Roblox The Haunt Death’s Dastardly Cape Guide
Death’s Dastardly Cape, a new item in The Haunt 2024, is hidden within the Hall of Villains; it involves interacting with the mirrors in a game I used to play as a kid, hot and cold.
Accessing the Hall of Villains
To begin your quest for Death’s Dastardly Cape, you must first possess the Golden Key Necklace. You can walk there, but it’s slower. Once you have the Golden Key Necklace, equip it and use it to access the fast travel room with the seven mirrors/paintings. Select the mirror/painting that leads to the Hall of Villains.

The Mirror Game: Hot and Cold
Inside the Hall of Villains, you’ll find loads of mirrors. Your goal is to find the mirror containing Death’s Dastardly Cape. Interact with any mirror to receive a hint, similar to a game of “hot and cold.” The message will indicate whether the artifact (the cape) is closer or further than your previous guess. Be prepared for occasional jumpscares as you interact with the mirrors.
The mirror containing the cape is randomly determined, so you may need to interact with several mirrors before finding the right one. Pay close attention to the hints provided to narrow down your search.
Once you’ve found the correct mirror, a message will appear saying, “I think the artifact is here!” Select the “reach in” button and claim Death’s Dastardly Cape.
