How to get Iron Shards

To get Iron Shards, you will head to the northwestern corner of the map, near the NPC Nok, south of the Black Hornet boss. You will need to have a Flint Pickaxe or better in order to breakdown the pile of scrap metal into metal material that you can then loot. While you’re in the area, you will want to avoid accidentally hitting cockroaches, which only attack after being hit.

Crafting is a critical area to master in Smalland: Survive the Wilds. If you want to survive, preparation is essential since creatures like ants, cockroaches, beetles, wasps, and spiders see Smallfolk as a potential food source, considering them lower on the food chain. This means gathering resources, allocating them properly, and making sure you’re upgrading/crafting as you progress in the game are incredibly important aspects of your skillset in order to navigate through Smalland.
