If you need help knowing how to get Insect Fat in Smalland: Survive the Wilds, we have a location guide on where to find them!

How to get Insect Fat

To get Insect Fat, you will need to kill Beetles (both Green and Sawyer Beetles drop it) or Water Bugs, and you can find all of these creatures if you head southeast from the NPCs Herne and The Elder towards the southeastern beach. Water Bugs tend to be found on their own, while Beetles are often in groups.

Water Bugs have a chance to drop Bug’s Lymph, Insect Fat, and Roach Meat, while Beetles have a chance to drop Beetle Hearts, Chitin, and Insect Fat.

Crafting is a critical area to master in Smalland: Survive the Wilds. If you want to survive, preparation is essential since creatures like ants, cockroaches, beetles, wasps, and spiders see Smallfolk as a potential food source, considering them lower on the food chain.

This means gathering resources, allocating them properly, and making sure you’re upgrading/crafting as you progress in the game are incredibly important aspects of your skillset in order to navigate through Smalland.
