Anime Vanguards Song Jinwu and Igros Guide – How to Get

The path to getting Song Jinwu and Igros in Anime Vanguards is an exceedingly long grind and involves several steps:

  1. Obtain Song Jinwu: You can only get the base form of Song Jinwu by summoning him from the Special Banner when he’s available. This relies on the game’s gacha system (random chance).
  2. Evolve to Song Jinwu (Monarch): Once you have the base Song Jinwu, you need to evolve him into Song Jinwu (Monarch).
  3. Obtain the Elixir of Life: This special item is the key to the final evolution.
  4. Final Evolution: Use the Elixir of Life to evolve Song Jinwu (Monarch) into the combined form of Song Jinwu and Igros.

How to Evolve Song Jinwu into Song Jinwu (Monarch)

To evolve your base Song Jinwu into the more powerful Song Jinwu (Monarch), you’ll need to gather these specific materials:

  • 12 Shadow Trace
  • 30 Green Essence
  • 10 Yellow Essence
  • 12 Pink Essence
  • 1 Rainbow Essence

How to Get Shadow Trace

You can only get Shadow Trace by completing the Double Dungeon Legend Stage 2 – The Tossing Titan. Each completion rewards you with 1-3 Shadow Trace.

How to Evolve Song Jinwu (Monarch) into Song Jinwu and Igros

Now for the main part of the process – evolving Song Jinwu (Monarch) into the ultimate Song Jinwu and Igros.

  1. Get the Red Key: This is the first major hurdle. There are two ways to obtain it:
    • Random Drop (10% Chance): After you win any match, there’s a 10% chance that the Red Key will drop as a reward.
    • Buy from Dungeon Shop: If you’re not having luck with drops, you can purchase the Red Key from the Dungeon Shop for 2000 Monarch Tokens.

  1. Earn Monarch Tokens: You earn Monarch Tokens by completing the Ant Island in Dungeons Mode. You get about 50 per run. Interact with the Song Jinwu NPC to open the Shop. It is recommended to take this method over the 10% drop chance.
  2. Complete the Red Key Questline: Once you possess the Red Key, you can begin a four-part questline:
    • Step 1: Ant King Slayer: Defeat the Ant King a total of 50 times (Ant Island Dungeon).
    • Step 2: Sacrifice of Power: Sacrifice 30 units that are of Mythic rarity or higher.
    • Step 3: Shadow Summoner: Use Song Jinwu (Monarch)’s “Arise” ability to summon a total of 5000 Shadows during matches. He can summon around 16-25 Shadows at a time, so this will take a while.
    • Step 4: Ultimate Sacrifice: Sacrifice an Igros (Elite Knight) unit.
  3. Receive the Elixir of Life: After completing all four steps of the questline, you’ll finally be rewarded with the Elixir of Life. Use this item on Song Jinwu (Monarch) to evolve him into Song Jinwu and Igros.

Song Jinwu and Igros Passives

Once you finally achieve the evolution, Song Jinwu and Igros come with some very powerful passives:

  • The Army’s Supply:
    • This unit has a mana bar, starting each match with it full.
    • Spawning a summon costs 40% of the unit’s total mana.
    • Defeating an enemy grants 2% of the unit’s total mana.
    • For every percentage of mana lost, the unit gains a 0.5% damage buff (up to a maximum of +30%).
  • The General:
    • Whenever an allied summon dies within this unit’s range, the unit gains a +5% damage increase (up to a maximum of 50%). This damage increase resets after the unit attacks.
    • If none of this unit’s summons are on the track, the unit gains +20% range and +30% damage.
  • The Monarch:
    • This unit’s summons receive bonus health based on the percentage of mana remaining at the time of their summoning. The more mana, the more health they have.
