You get a picture in a letter the day after you meet your lawyer in Back to the Dawn. However, what’s less known is that this picture is exactly what you need for a map. Below, we’ll tell you how to make that make appear.

If you need more help in Back to the Dawn, we have guides on whether you should give Bruce the real or fake ledger or if you should call Maggie. Due to the limited amount of information provided by the game, we’re here to help. We’ll explain how to get that ledger below.

Where To Find a Prison Map in Back to the Dawn

You have to wait until you get mail from your lawyer to begin to work on a prison map in Back to the Dawn. Your character will reminisce about the past when you open this in your cell. Look at the picture in your crafting table to reveal that you can use a crafted object on it.

To reveal the prison map on the back of the picture found in the letter, you’ll have to make an alcohol lamp. To do this, you need one bottle of alcohol, one match stick, and one rope. These ingredients can be found by trading with others, but there is another way.

When you’re in the nurse’s station, you can inspect the drawer to your left. There will be an alcohol bottle in that drawer that you can take with no problem.

You can always use memory recall to go back to the first time you met the nurse. Either way, get the ingredients you need and go back to your crafting table to make the alcohol lamp. Go to the picture and use the alcohol lamp to make the prison map appear.

This will make moving around much easier because now you won’t need to memorize anything. It also just seems like another image of a friendly time so no guard will confiscate it.
