The Front gives you many different ores to create and find, and salt ore is one of the more elusive ores. Unless you already know how to make salt ore, you’re going to be confused. Luckily, the guide below will show you how to make salt ore in The Front.

Check out more of our guides on The Front to learn things like if there is a proximity chatsingle player mode, or even how to split item stacks easily in-game. If you’re more interested in gathering resources, we recommend our guides on How to Get ResinCrude Oil, and Polymer on our The Front page.

How to get salt ore in The Front

You can get Salt Ore in The Front by burning Stone Ore in a furnace. This will get you some Salt Ore pretty easily. However, if you’re not far enough that you have a spare furnace, we recommend worrying about establishing a base before going after salt ore.

You can get stone ore by using your pickaxe on any of the rocks around. You’re going to get about two to three stone ore for every swing onto a big rock. From there, you can just put the stone ore that you don’t need into your furnace to use for salt ore.

The Front gives you a lot of opportunities to use different ores in the game, salt is just one that you can’t get from mining for some reason. This isn’t realistic, but that might be for a good reason. I’m guessing the developers didn’t want their mining system to be overly complex since salt mines are where you get salt in real life. Having people find different ways to make different ores seems simpler than making salt caverns that players go through for just one resource.
