The Front is a great first-person survival game, but many games don’t stick to one point of view. Third-person mode is usually an option in survival games, which can be changed in the settings. This guide will let you know if there’s a third-person mode in The Front.

Before we get into viewpoints, make sure you look at our guide on changing FOV. If you’re having trouble getting ahead in the game, we also recommend our guides on finding salt oreplaying offline, and if there’s a single-player mode.

Can you change to third-person view in The Front?

Unfortunately, you cannot change to third-person view in The Front. This is not found in settings, and it doesn’t appear like there was an intention to make this game third-person from the beginning. Unfortunately, if you want third-person, you’re currently out of luck. For now, you’ll just have to play the game in first-person mode.

A third-person mode for The Front is not out of the realm of possibilities in the future, though. There are many comments in the suggestion post by the developer asking for a third-person mode. So if enough people ask for it, the developer may consider making the change. Sometimes it’s just an addition of another camera that follows the player from a certain angle.

The game is still in Early Access, so there is still hope. The developers will be adding many features and options for the game over time, and third-person mode may be one of them. If it were to be added, the community would have to ask often, as the lack of changing keybindings led to its addition. So we imagine that there are big changes coming, and we will update this article if the developer adds a third-person mode or view to The Front.
