A Universal Time (AUT) Gomu Devil Fruit Guide

There are three ways to obtain the Gomu Gomu No Mi ability in AUT: complete Shanks’ quest, find the Gomu Devil Fruit, or obtain it as a boss drop from Whitebeard. Once you have this fruit, you can upgrade it to Gear 2, and we have a guide to help you: How to Get Gear 2 for Gomu Gomu No Mi in A Universal Time.

Shanks Quest to get Gomu Devil Fruit in AUT

In order to obtain the Gomu Gomu No Mi ability by completing Shanks’ quest, you must first locate him in the new area, Orange Town. Upon completion of the quest, you will be rewarded with the Gomu Devil Fruit, which grants you the Gomu Gomu No Mi ability.

To start, go to Kuma and choose Orange Town. Then, head to the middle of Orange Town and look for the Shanks NPC near a barrel. Talk to him and accept the quest called “Straw Hat’s Destiny.” This quest requires you to defeat 20 Pirates, which are regularly found in Orange Town.

Once 20 enemies are defeated, return to Shanks to receive another quest to kill Buggy, a new boss introduced in the Gear 5 update. Buggy appears in front of Shanks with a spawn time of approximately 15 minutes or more and can be challenging to defeat.

Finding the Gomu Devil Fruit in AUT

The second method is similar to all Devil Fruits added to AUT by finding one. Finding one lying on the ground is very unlikely and incredibly rare. You can slightly increase your chances by purchasing the “Item Notifier” for 2,500 Robux, but it’s still based on luck.

Killing Whitebeard to get Gomu Devil Fruit in AUT

The third method is to pass the damage threshold for raid boss Whitebeard (15%) and receive his drop rewards. Whitebeard can be found in Marineford and spawns every three hours after his defeat. Upon his defeat, there is a chance for him to drop the Gomu Devil Fruit. If you eat the “Gomu Devil Fruit,” you will receive the Gomu Ability.
