Roblox chat PS4 and PS5 – Is it possible?

Now that Roblox is on PlayStation, many players have come together to play games together. However, it seems like the voice and chat options seem to be missing. Many of the controls are different on consoles, so it’s understandable to be confused. Below we’ll let you know if you can.

Can you voice chat in Roblox on PlayStation (PS4 or PS5)?

No, unfortunately, you cannot voice chat in Roblox on PS4 or PS5. For those of you who are interested, PlayStation allows you to run Discord and join parties on the console. They even have instructions on PlayStation’s official website, so they encourage it.

To do so easily, make sure to install Discord then follow these steps to enable it:

  1. Go to your home screen
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Navigate to System
  4. Go to Power Saving
  5. Press Features Available in Rest Mode
  6. Turn on Enable Turning On PS5 from Network.

You can always just use the regular party chat to communicate through voice. Since you’re on the PlayStation, you can just start a party and invite your friends, but that excludes anyone outside of it. This is why we recommend Discord.

Can you text chat in Roblox on PlayStation (PS4 or PS5)?

You cannot text chat in Roblox on PS4 or PS5. There is no real alternative to this one, besides texting through your phone or sending messages on the PlayStation messaging system. For this, it’s better just to wait until Roblox comes up with a solution. Constantly getting out of Roblox to go to Discord and then back multiple times in short succession might cause you more problems down the road.
