Now that PlayStation can access Roblox, many players are wondering if Xbox and PlayStation players can play with others. It’s a fair question, and while the answer is straightforward, the reason is different from what we’re used to. Below are the details on whether PlayStation and Xbox players can play together.

Can you cross play on PlayStation and Xbox?

Yes, Roblox is cross-platform on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, but in a different way than usual. Technically, Roblox servers can now be accessed on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. So they all can play together because they’re all using the same Roblox servers, instead of servers being made just for crossplay.

This doesn’t mean that you will automatically be put on the same server as other players. Always make sure your friends join your Roblox games from your profile page because the more popular experiences tend to have over a dozen servers. Every time you leave a game and come back, you’re put into a new server, so unless you invite your friends, you’re not guaranteed to be on the same server.

How to join Roblox players on other consoles

Joining your friends on other platforms is the same as joining them on PC and any console. First, go to their profile page when they’re in a game or experience. You’ll see a Join Experience button if they’re in one, and you can press it to join them. This will put you on the same server as them.

We recommend checking out our guide on PlayStation chat in Roblox if you’re curious about that.
