Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have prepared a challenging black crystal Tera Raid time-limited event where players may have a chance to get a Cinderace with the Mightiest Mark. Cinderace is rarely encountered in Paldea, and the Cinderace that appears during this 7-star Tera Raid event is at Level 100 and has a Fighting as its Tera Type, making it both a formidable opponent and a powerful ally. If you want to know the best counters for Cinderace Tera Raid, we’ve got you covered in this guide!
Best Counters for Cinderace Tera Raid
Slowbro

The Water and Psychic-type Pokémon, Slowbro, is an excellent counter to Fire and Fighting-type Pokémon like the Unrivaled Cinderace. During this 7-star Tera Raid event, it is best to have a Slowbro with a Psychic Tera Type and a Modest Nature to maximize its Special Attack stat.
Slowbro has access to Psychic Terrain which can further boost the damage of its Psychic attacks. Slowbro may also have the Nasty Plot move, which can further raise its Special Attack stat. Moreover, Slowbro should have an Iron Defense move to further raise its Defense stats. Slowbro may also be equipped with Chilling Water, which lowers Cinderace’s Attack stat, and Slack Off, which provides a solid recovery option.
Ceruledge

For Pokémon Violet owners, the Fire and Ghost-type Pokémon, Ceruledge, could be a great addition to your team against the Unrivaled Cinderace. During this 7-star Tera Raid event, it is best to have a Ceruledge with a Ghost Tera Type and Adamant Nature to maximize its Attack stat.
Ceruledge can be a great offensive unit, owing to its access to Psycho Cut and Bitter Blade, and a stat-boosting move such as Swords Dance. However, just make sure to increase your Attack Stat before using Psycho Cut repeatedly to take advantage of the metronome. Having a Ceruledge with Will-O-Wisp, Clear Smog, or Taunt will also be helpful in hindering Cinderace.
Armarouge

For Pokémon Scarlet owners, the Fire and Psychic-type Pokémon, Aramarouge, could be an ideal choice to add to your team against Unrivaled Cinderace. During this 7-star Tera Raid event, it is best to have an Armarouge with a Psychic Tera Type and Modest Nature to maximize its Special Attack stat.
Armarouge has access to Expanding Force and Psychic Terrain. When Psychic Terrain is active, Expanding Force gets a power increase by 1.5 times and deals a significant amount of damage. Having an Armarouge with a Reflect move will also help to double its Defense when the Fighting Tera Type Cinderace uses a physical move against it. Armarouge may also have a Clear Smog move which can remove Cinderace’s Bulk Up buffs, as well as Will-O-Wisp to reduce its damage inflicted. Acid Spray will also help lower the Special Defense of Cinderace.
Pelipper

The Water and Flying-type Pokémon, Pelipper, is one of the excellent counters to Fire and Fighting-type Pokémon like the Unrivaled Cinderace. During this 7-star Tera Raid event, it is best to have a Pelipper with a Flying Tera Type and a Bold Nature to maximize its Defense stat.
Pelipper can be an effective support unit as it is capable of weakening Cinderace’s Pyro Ball by setting up Rain with Drizzle. Combine this with Rain Dance to make sure its Pyro Ball stays weak. Pelipper also has access to Hurricane which is a 100% accurate move that will deal massive damage. Having a Pelipper with Chilling Water can also help lower Cinderace’s Attack stat. Pelipper must also have Helping Hand and Roost to boost the damage output of its allies and replenish half of its maximum HP.
