Upon release, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet received numerous reports of performance issues and bugs. Thankfully, Game Freak has heard the fans’ concerns and has released patch 1.1.0 which is intended to address the game issues. Along with the release of this update is the start of the Charizard Tera Raid time-limited event. Nintendo has released a detailed guide on how players may manually update their games. However, some players are still experiencing issues where the new Charizard Tera Raid event does not appear. If you want to know how to fix this issue in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, we’ve got you covered in this guide!
Fixing Charizard Tera Raid issue

To fix the issue where the Charizard Tera Raid event does not appear, you must first update your Pokémon Scarlet and Violet to version 1.1.0, according to the procedure provided on the Nintendo Customer Support page.
After installing patch 1.1.0, launch Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and press the X button to access the Main Menu. Select Poké Portal, then scroll down and click Mystery Gift. Afterward, click the Check Poké Portal News which will connect the game to the internet. Press the A button and wait until you see the message “You’ve connected to the internet and received the latest updates about what’s going on in the Paldea region.”

Additionally, you must ensure that you meet the requirements to access this 7-star Tera Raid. To unlock the 7-star Tera Raid, you must first complete the main storyline of Victory Road, Starfall Street, Path of Legends, and the post-game Academy Ace Tournament. You must also engage in a few 6-star raids, in order to get a call from Professor Jacq about the Black Tera Crystals. After completing these steps, you should notice a Black Tera Raid icon in many areas of the map and encounter a Black Crystal when you explore these areas.
