Salt Guide

To find Salt in New World, you will have to head to either the Brightwood or Everfall regions. Ingredients will only spawn in certain areas, so you won’t find Salt in any other place at the moment. Salt will only drop out of Provision Crates, which have a 30 – 45 minute respawn time after they’ve been opened. You won’t always receive it out of a crate, but more often than not you will!

Here’s a map of the Everfall region with a majority of the Provision Crate locations circled. There’s a lot of chests around in some of the areas, so you might need to hunt them down a bit (Credit to New World Map).

You can also find salt in the Brightwood region! The best location for the Provision Crates appears to be in the southern portion of the Lake Genevieve (Credit to New World Map).
