Every Pokemon game offers a unique battle mechanic that distinguishes it from others in its generation. In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Pokémon can shine and glimmer like gems through the Terastal Phenomenon.

Obtaining a Tera Blast in Scarlet and Violet
To get a Tera Blast, you will need to obtain TM171 which contains the move Tera Blast in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. You may receive it from Geeta after Medali Gym battle and Nemona fight. Once you’ve obtained a copy of TM171 (Tera Blast), you may use the TM Machine found in any Pokémon Center to produce more copies of the move, but just make sure you have enough League Points and Pokémon Materials.
Tera Blast is a Normal-type move that may be utilized in battle, however, its ultimate power is revealed when used by a Pokemon that has been Terastallized. The move’s type is changed to that of the Pokémon’s Tera Type. It deals damage using the Attack or Special Attack stat, whichever is higher.
The Tera Type of each Pokémon is inactive until the Pokémon Terastallizes. There are 18 types, meaning there are an incredible amount of Pokémon and Tera Type combinations. Terastallizing a Pokémon enables you to improve your battle strategy by boosting the potency of techniques of the same type as your Pokémon’s Tera Type or by altering its vulnerabilities. To Terastallize a Pokémon, you will need a Tera Orb. NPC Nemona gives it to the player during their first encounter with Team Star.
