Wild Hearts is a fast-paced action game with a vibrant, stylized aesthetic and a synth-pop soundtrack, where players travel through surreal and dreamlike landscapes, battling foes, and dodging obstacles. At launch, there are eight different weapons in the game, so we have put together this Wild Hearts Karakuri Katana Weapon Guide to help you understand how this weapon works, the best way to wield it, and when to use it in the game.
Wild Hearts Karakuri Katana Weapon Guide
The Karakuri Katana is the first weapon you’ll have access to in the game, and as a result, it is an effective, easy to master weapon that works well for melee, close-range combat. It offers fast striking, heavier (but slower) slashes, and chained combos to deal greater damage.
How to use the Karakuri Katana
This weapon is a more balanced weapon, but it is designed for close-range combat and utilizes a mix of light and heavy attacks. You will also learn about chaining combos together by stacking crates in order to “unleash” its attack using the Special Attack button. You will see that you have enough power to do this with its weapon gauge.
To unleash your Special Attack, you’ll need to jump off three crates stacked onto each other. This will allow you to land an incredibly powerful, high-damage move onto a Kemono. If you don’t think you will land the move, quickly press R2/RT and B/Circle to exit the unleashed state so you don’t waste your gauge!
We hope our Wild Hearts Karakuri Katana Guide has helped you to understand how the weapon works, the best way to wield it, and when to use it in the game. Check out more of our Wild Hearts coverage!
