Wild Hearts is a fast-paced action game with a vibrant, stylized aesthetic and a synth-pop soundtrack, where players travel through surreal and dreamlike landscapes, battling foes, and dodging obstacles. At launch, there are eight different weapons in the game, so we have put together this Wild Hearts Nodachi Weapon Guide to help you understand how this weapon works, the best way to wield it, and when to use it in the game.
Wild Hearts Nodachi Weapon Guide
The Nodachi utilizes a mix of downward slashes that can be even more effective when the player is in Iai Stance, which yields powerful attacks that must be timed in order to maximize their effectiveness. It is a bit of a slower (though quite heavy!) weapon, but it can deal a ton of damage in the right hands!
How to use the Nodachi
The key to doing the most damage possible is to ensure that you fill up the Valor Gauge by holding and staying in Iai Stance until its gauge is filled up. You can also fill this gauge by successfully attacking an enemy after being in the Iai stance. When you fill up the Valor Gauge, it gives you access to the Iai: Bisection attack, which allows you to slash the air using red energy and it slashes the ground open.
You’ll want to keep in mind that filling the Valor Gauge also uses up Stamina, so you need to be mindful that you do not run out of Satmina when using the charged Iai slash. Standing in place minimizes this negative effect, but it makes you an easy target, so you will have to balance standing and recharging with attacking and filling the gauge.
We hope our Wild Hearts Nodachi Weapon Guide has helped you to understand how the weapon works, the best way to wield it, and when to use it in the game. Check out more of our Wild Hearts coverage!
