Wild Hearts is a fast-paced action game with a vibrant, stylized aesthetic and a synth-pop soundtrack, where players travel through surreal and dreamlike landscapes, battling foes, and dodging obstacles. At launch, there are eight different weapons in the game, so we have put together this Wild Hearts Maul Weapon Guide to help you understand how this weapon works, the best way to wield it, and when to use it in the game.
Wild Hearts Maul Weapon Guide
The Maul is a close-range, melee weapon that deals heavy damage but is a slower weapon, and you’ll need to take into consideration that it destroys any structures that you’ve built nearby when used. Timing is crucial when mastering the effectiveness of this weapon, so you may want to train up!
How to use the Maul
The Maul does greater, devastating damage as its handle is extended–the handle will get longer and longer with combos, and ultimately deals a ton of damage as a result. You will know if you can extend the handle when the weapon flashes, and you’ll just want to press R2/RT during this period.
The pound attack is a lighter attack compared to its jumping attack, which is slower but does greater damage. The Special Attack has high damage, can damage nearby Karakuri structures, and will consume stamina.
We hope our Wild Hearts Maul Weapon Guide has helped you to understand how the weapon works, the best way to wield it, and when to use it in the game. Check out more of our Wild Hearts coverage!
