Wild Hearts is a fast-paced action game with a vibrant, stylized aesthetic and a synth-pop soundtrack, where players travel through surreal and dreamlike landscapes, battling foes, and dodging obstacles. At launch, there are eight different weapons in the game, so we have put together this Wild Hearts Bow Weapon Guide to help you understand how this weapon works, the best way to wield it, and when to use it in the game.
Wild Hearts Bow Weapon Guide
The Bow is one of two long-range weapons in the game, and it’s the easiest of the two to master, plus it is also available at the beginning of the game. It features two types of arrows, Haya arrows, which go horizontally, and Otoya arrows, which fire vertically. This weapon is better for slower Kemonos as it can be hard to be precise using the weapon if the enemy is fast.
How to use the Bow
You’ll need to switch between Haya and Otoya stances in order to maximize the effectiveness of the Bow against Kemonos. The best way to do this is to start in Haya stance and fire at the Kemono using the Haya arrows and then switch to the Otoya stance and use a Bolstered Otoya arrow shot to cause the Haya arrows to explode.
When you bolster an arrow (press Y/Triangle), it increases the damage of the next arrow (while also consuming stamina) and makes you fire your Haya arrows rapidly. If you press twice to bolster arrows, you will have even higher increased damage (but again, higher consumption of stamina, too).
You’ll want to shoot several Haya arrows at the Kemono’s weak spot, and then follow-up with a bolstered Otoya shot in the same spot to detonate those Haya arrows to inflict greater damage. Make sure that you are in position before bolstering your arrow as you will be locked in place.
We hope our Wild Hearts Bow Guide has helped you to understand how the weapon works, the best way to wield it, and when to use it in the game. Check out more of our Wild Hearts coverage!
