These are not always cut-and-dry, because some types will have immunities and be vulnerable to things that don’t necessarily make sense. If you’re wondering about what the Dragon-type is super effective against or vulnerable to, we’ll teach you what you need to know in this guide!

Many Dragon Pokemon are Legendary or Pseudo-Legendary. Dragon Pokemon have the greatest average HP and base stat total of any type, in part due of this.

Dragon-type Pokemon not only have high HP, but they also feature the highest average Special Attack of all Pokemon types. Dragon and Ghost are tied for the least amount of resistances. They are the only type that can deal super-effective damage to themselves.

If the target is on the ground when Misty Terrain is active, the strength of Dragon-type moves is reduced by half.

Dragon-type moves are usually Cool in contests, but some might be Beautiful or Tough. None of these moves can be Cute or Clever.

Dragon Type Weaknesses

Dragon-type Pokemon have weaknesses to Dragon, Fairy and Ice-type moves when on defense. While on offense Steel moves take less damage from them. Fairy-type Pokemon are immune to Dragon attacks.

Dragon Type Strengths

Dragon-type moves are strong (Super Effective) against Dragon Pokemon. When a Dragon Pokemon is on defense, they are resistant to Electric, Fire, Grass, and Water-type moves.
