Electric-type Pokémon have electrokinetic abilities, meaning that they can store, use, or even produce electricity. This type is often fast, and many have paralyzing attacks. An interesting fact about this type is that some of them also remember artificial artifacts used by humans that are related to electricity. They can often be found in forests, meadows, cities, and power plants.

Electric-type moves are usually Cool in contests, but some might be Beautiful, Tough, Cute, or Clever. Their moves are usually Special. However, some might be Physical or Status.

Electric Type Weaknesses

Electric-type Pokémon have weaknesses to Ground-type moves when on defense. However, pure Electric-type Pokémon can have no weaknesses by becoming airborne after using the Ability Levitate, the held item Air Balloon, or being affected by Magnet Rise or Telekinesis.

Electric Type Strengths

Electric-type moves are strong (Super Effective) against Water and Flying-type Pokémon. When an Electric Pokémon is on defense, they are resistant to Electric, Ground, and Flying-type moves.
